The secret to having it all, is BELIEVING that you already do.
I like this saying.
Before I go to bed tonight, after an emotional draining day, I just want to take some time and list the blessings in my life. It's a way to stop feeling sorry for myself. Not sure if anyone else struggles with this, but I find myself at times focusing on what's missing in life, rather than looking around and finding joy in what I have in life. Right here. Right now.
And I have it all, really. I just need to remind myself of that. So here's my reminder. I encourage you all to do the same when you're feeling in a slump.
I'm grateful for my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. My heart is currently smiling just thinking of the love he has for each one of us. I'm grateful for the chance I have to feel his peace and love through the atonement. Learning about the atonement is a continual progress and I'm glad I am on board yearning for more knowledge and humility.
Being a mom to my little Maylee is a delight! I love what she teaches me. I love the little reminders she gives me that there's so much joy in life. And it's a blessing to have the challenges of parenting. Definitely difficult but keeps you progressing... and giggling a lot :)
I have a safe home (killer deal on rent), warm beds, clothes/jewelery that make me feel dolled up and stylish, healthy food and even some yummy treats to enjoy.
I enjoy my jobs and the people I associate with. All of them; ages 2 and up! So nice to have such cool peeps.
I've got a GREAT FAMILY and DEAR FRIENDS. So loving and supportive. My teammates.
I've got a healthy mind and body that does a lot for me! And it deserves some tender love and care. To me that means more appreciation, less criticism.
So yep, I have it all! I'm thinking if I keep this kind of attitude, it doesn't matter where life takes me or how life changes. I'll be grateful for all that I have to LOVE.
I'm just a dang good lover! haha ;)
Okay goodnight.

We're back!
To all the bloggers out there - don't forget your password, or change your log in so many times that you get confused after coming back in a year! That's what I did with my old blog... and that is why it's still there... just chillin'. I can't even delete it! sheesh - another lesson learned. (giggle) But I'm sure you regulars don't have to worry about that :)
So we're back to a fresh start! Hello again.
I hope this title makes you laugh. A friend and I were making dinner one night and I happened to forget about the muffins (I think it was muffins...something in the oven). Maylee came in and said to my friend, "My mommy burns things a lot".
Which is true. And for the most part, I can totally laugh it off. But if you really want to analyze my life to pieces. I do kinda burn things a lot. Like right now I'm thinking in reference to past relationships :) ha. Or, all my attempts to diet perfectly. I literally do have a problem with burning food. I forget to set the timer or get distracted. Lots of distractions lately.
But whatever! It happens, right? I will admit to my short comings, but with a big smile on my face, I can say I try try again and LOVE learning from it all.
So this blog is about telling the truth. The whole truth. I hope you're prepared for the real deal. It'll be tempting to throw on every perfect picture and talk about all the good stuff but then that just wouldn't be telling the whole truth, right?
Yes! I like this. I want people to look at my blog and see the imperfections. Go ahead and laugh at it. Give me a shout out if you can relate to it. If I misspell a word, let me know. Teach and critique with love :)
If I'm going to spend time blogging, I would hope it would be to help people laugh off their imperfections and encourage them to keep a positive attitude while moving forward to try again.
But let's not spend a lot of time on this blogging thing. I think you all can agree blogging is time consuming and can kinda be addicting. In fact, this post is long and I'm finished. Time to shut off the computer and do something more productive... like my Saturday to-do list: choreograph, study, clean and get ready for Missy's house party.
Oh and how about I check the food on the stove!!!? yikes, it could be burning!
